Exporter of the Year 2003

Technical Systems, Winner of the Maersk Sealand Cape Regional Chamber Exporter of the year award.  Technical Systems has entered the competition since 1996 and has won the SEIFSA Trophy for a company in the Engineering or Manufacturing Sector which has excelled in exporting, in 1998, 2001 and 2002.

Technical Systems celebrates 10 years of solid exporting to 37 countries on five continents with a 50 percent increase in volumes.  The company perfected automated feeding systems for factory farms, with a system to convey just the right amount of food to each of the many thousands of birds on modern poultry farms.  The company added an auger line which conveys much larger quantities of feed to lines of pigs on the intensive farms.  The product has been selling well in the Scandinavian countries where modern pig farming was invented.
